Two weeks ago, a new chapter in my life officially began. After goodbyes were said and a UHaul was packed, I hit the road at 5:30 in the morning from Columbus, OH to Nashville, TN.

My fiancé pulled my belongings across state lines, and I, with a furry co-rider by my side, drove in disbelief that after months of anticipation, I was actually moving south. Once we arrived in Music City, I was surprised how comfortable it felt to finally be here. My little apartment is just that, little, but it’s cozy and has a pretty great view of the southern sky.

Like most things in life, this particular move wasn’t really a part of the plan. Yeah, yeah, yeah-I agreed to be relocated for work, but it never really sunk in that I would be moving to a new state, living in a new city, working a new job-alone. The fiancé, my three adorable dogs, one more cat, family, friends, sanity-all of it are back in Ohio. So this will be a year of adventures, learning new things, living outside my comfort zone, and a long distance relationship. And hey, lets add wedding planning to that, too, because that will be fun I must be insane.
I started this blog as a way to chronicle my adventures, my mishaps, the things I love, and what I’m up to-mainly for me, but for anyone else who chooses to follow along with the madness.
And Nashville-thanks for the great start. I can’t wait to see what’s in store from here.
